Two Made In Italy Excellences Join Forces to Conquer New Markets
A new product to face the world crisis. This is how Panatta Sport and Pininfarina are facing today’s problems. In a year when consumptions have dropped dramatically, Panatta Sport is introducing a new line of functional cardio-fitness machines with an outstanding design entailing an investment of approx. 3 mln euro.

Pininfarina once again ties it name directly to a product whose design it has created, demonstrating yet again the importance of the synergy between the two Made In Italy brands. The business collaboration started a year ago when Panatta Sport decided to launch a product offering not only outstanding performance but a strong and emotional visual impact.

Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman and MD of Pininfarina Extra. –The collaboration with Panatta Sport involved us in each and every stage of project, from design research to the 3D development of all the details through to providing support during production of the initial prototypes. Our design team started from the elements which sports convey – flexibility of the human body, dynamism – and then focused on comfort and ease of use. The new machines reflect the principles of the Pininfarina style: research for the purity of lines and an aesthetical synthesis which, in the case of cars or household items, is a combination of beauty and practicality, form and technology”.
Panatta Sport has an important presence abroad and exports cover 65% of its turnover, with significant market shares in the United States, Europe and emerging countries in Asia and the Arab world; despite this the company maintains its roots firming planted in its territory, on whose values of sound entrepreneurship the company has based its development for more than twenty years.
It was not by chance that the Jesi facility in Ancona Province was chosen as the venue for the presentation of the new line of products. Ing. Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina Spa and Prof. Rudy Panatta, Chairman of Panatta Sport personally explained the concept of the project. The many sports stars present included Valentina Vezzali, many times Olympics and World foil champion, who like Panatta comes from Marche Region and the swimmer Alessia Filippi, vice Olympic champion and European Champion of the 400 and 800 metres medley.
Design, reliability and innovation are the cornerstones of this new line which also offers quality and a price that is not only in line with the market but also competitive with respect to competitors and current market requirements.
The machines combine style and functionality and are made of materials from the automobile industry such as brushed aluminium. Two versions have been developed, Platinum and Gold, each consisting of 4 cardio-fitness machines: Runner, Elliptical, Bike and Horizontal Bike.
